Corgi-
The silver version was produced later, initially for a short period with silver chrome bumpers but later with gold bumpers front and rear. This version had a similar ejector seat, front guns and shield as before but also wheel extension cutters and revolving number plates were added. This was available from 1968 to 1976. From 1976 to 1977 with no wheel cutters or number plates and fixed Whizzwheels in flared arches.
Just to confuse us more, in 1995 Mattel issued 96655 and 96656 for the 30th anniversary of which 96655 is very similar to 270, no flared arches, but bigger number plates and, of course, Made In China underneath!
The final 1/43 editions are 4201 a painted gold version in a set with an Oddjob character and 4202, another gold plated version for the 35th anniversary.
So 270 has three versions: silver bumpers, gold bumpers both with red slashers and gold bumpers with flared arches for whizzwheels, no slashers.
The other 1/43 scale models are:
96655 30th anniversary silver, red slashers 29000 limited edition
96656 30th anniversary gold plated, red slashers
19000 limited edition (black box)
4201 Oddjob set, gold painted, silver bumpers, red slashers
4202 35th anniversary gold plated, black slashers
6900 limited edition (green box)
